Soundside Music Festival Canceled
The Soundside Music Festival, which was set to take place on September 27th to 28th in Bridgeport, CT, has been canceled. The event was supposed to feature a star-studded lineup, including Weezer, Hozier, and Vampire Weekend, as well as DJO, Japanese Breakfast, and Remi Wolf.
Reasons for Cancellation
The organizers of the festival announced the cancellation on their website, citing "circumstances beyond our control" as the reason. They also stated that tickets will be refunded within 30 days of the original payment method, depending on the bank’s processing time.
Festival History
The Soundside Music Festival was originally launched in 2022 as Sound on Sound, before being renamed Soundside Music Festival last year. The event was founded by Howard Saffan, developer of the Hartford Healthcare Amphitheater, in collaboration with Live Nation Connecticut and Founders Entertainment. In its first year, the festival featured headliners such as Stevie Nicks, The Lumineers, and Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds!
Last Year’s Event
Last year’s festival was supposed to be headlined by Foo Fighters, but they were replaced by Jack White and Greta Van Fleet after frontman Dave Grohl announced that he had recently become a father to a child outside of his marriage. Despite the changes, the festival still managed to attract a large crowd and feature a variety of talented artists.
Refund Information
For those who had already purchased tickets to the festival, refunds will be issued within 30 days of the original payment method. The organizers have not provided any further information on the circumstances that led to the cancellation, and representatives of the Soundside Music Festival have not responded to requests for further clarification.
