Introduction to Netflix’s Latest Hits

Tyler Perry, known for his work on Sistas, has proven to be a valuable asset for Netflix. His recent film, straw, dominated the global top 10 and collected millions of views. Following this success, the new edition of the Madea franchise, Madea’s Target Time for the Goal, was expected to be a top performer. However, a dark horse emerged in the form of KPOP – Demon Hunter, which quickly became one of the biggest hits on Netflix.

The Rise of KPOP – Demon Hunter

The animated film KPOP – Demon Hunter continued its winning streak among Netflix’s Top 10 worldwide. Since its premiere, the film has been one of the most viewed titles on the platform, adding 24 million views to its total count. The film’s soundtrack also made waves on music streaming platforms, competing with South Korean artists such as BTS and Blackpink. It was the first K-Pop album to claim the top spot on both Apple Music and iTunes.

Madea’s Target Time for the Goal Takes the Top Spot in the US

In the United States, Madea’s Target Time for the Goal took the top spot, with KPOP – Demon Hunter coming in second. The US Top 10 was a diverse list, featuring the German thriller Brick, the Netherlands action comedy Almost Police Officers, and older titles like Adult and Madagascar’s Penguins. Wes Craven’s Red Eye also made the list.

What is KPOP – Demon Hunter and Madea’s Target Time for the Goal About?

KPOP – Demon Hunter tells the story of a trio of friends – Rumi, Mira, and Zoey – who balance their time between performing for millions of fans and fighting evil demons who want to steal their fans’ souls. The voice cast includes Arden Cho, May Hong, Ji-Young Yoo, Byung Hun Lee, and Ken Jeong. The film has a 96% score on Rotten Tomatoes.

Madea’s Target Time for the Goal is the thirteenth installment in the Madea film universe and stars Tyler Perry as Madea Simmons. The film follows Madea and her family as they travel to the Bahamas for her grandniece’s surprise engagement. Madea must get to the bottom of the unexpected situation and determine if the fiancé is trustworthy.

Streaming Now on Netflix

Both KPOP – Demon Hunter and Madea’s Target Time for the Goal are available to stream on Netflix. With their unique storylines and engaging characters, these films are sure to captivate audiences and leave a lasting impression.
