Introduction to Lady Gaga’s New Project

Lady Gaga is set to release a new song for the second season of Netflix’s Wednesday, and it will come with a music video directed by the renowned Tim Burton. According to a source familiar with the matter, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter, this collaboration promises to be an exciting one for fans of both Lady Gaga and the series.

Details of the Music Video

The music video was shot in Mexico, although the exact timing of the shoot is not clear. It’s worth noting that Lady Gaga was in Mexico in April for a few concerts at the Estadio BSP Seguros in Mexico City. This coincidence in timing suggests that the video might have been filmed during her visit, taking advantage of the unique landscapes and atmospheres Mexico has to offer.

Song Release and Title

Variety first reported the news of Lady Gaga’s involvement with Wednesday, including the title of the song, "Death Dance." According to Variety, "Death Dance" is slated for release next month, giving fans something to look forward to. This song will undoubtedly add to the excitement and anticipation building around the second season of Wednesday.

Lady Gaga’s Involvement with Wednesday

It was reported at the end of last year that Lady Gaga would have a guest role in Wednesday, with Netflix officially confirming her participation during a Tudum fan event in the Kia Forum in Los Angeles. The first part of Wednesday season 2 was released on August 6, and fans are eagerly awaiting the second part, which will feature Lady Gaga’s appearance and is scheduled for release on September 3.

Tim Burton’s Vision for Wednesday

Tim Burton expressed his interest in creating Wednesday, stating, "I have never made television, so it was the idea to explore something in a longer period of time, and it is an interesting character." He also mentioned feeling a connection with Wednesday Addams, saying, "I feel as much like a middle-aged man as a teenage Wednesday Addams. And she is a character that is only subtle because she doesn’t really have a large range of emotions." Burton has directed four episodes of the first season and four episodes of the current season, showcasing his deep involvement and commitment to the project.

Lady Gaga’s Current Projects

Apart from her work on Wednesday, Lady Gaga is also busy with her Mayhem Ball Arena Tour, which kicked off on July 16 in Las Vegas at the T-Mobile Arena. In April, she headlined Coachella with a set that was immediately hailed as one of the largest and most impressive headlining sets in the festival’s history. Lady Gaga’s ability to balance multiple projects and deliver high-quality performances is a testament to her talent and dedication to her craft.
