Miley Cyrus’ Brutal Infection
Miley Cyrus revealed that she got a "brutal infection" after rolling around on the Hollywood Walk of Fame when she accompanied her upcoming film with her new album, Something Beautiful. The singer had a unique idea to film at the iconic landmark at night to avoid the crowds, but it didn’t quite go as planned.
The Incident
Cyrus appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and shared her story, explaining that she decided to film at night because of her budget constraints. However, this decision led to her "catching something." She said, "I shot this video in October and I was put into the intensive care unit for a moment until November." The hospital was full due to the holiday season, which made her situation even more challenging.
The Infection
Cyrus told Jimmy Kimmel that her leg began to break down around the kneecap area, and the doctor was puzzled by the severity of the infection. When the doctor asked if she had any idea why she would have such a brutal infection on her kneecap, Cyrus recalled the image of herself dancing on the floor in Hollywood. She had to inform the doctor and a surgeon about her actions, which led to a rather unpleasant reaction. "They open corpses, they see the guts of humans, and they look at me and tell me that I am disgusting," she recalled.
The Visual Album
Cyrus’ visual album is set to be released on June 12, shortly after her ninth studio album, Something Beautiful, which will be available on May 30th. The new film is described as "a unique visual experience of fantasy" and a "unique popper." The singer had a "big dream" and a "pretty good budget" for the film, but she admitted that she spent most of it on her clothes.
The Consequences
Cyrus joked about her decision to film on the Hollywood Walk of Fame at night, saying, "So if it was time to go to the fame, you say: ‘So what will you do? Will you rent this thing or what’, because that’s really outside your price range. ‘I like: ‘No, we’ll just go in the middle of the night.’" She felt bad about sharing the story, thinking that it might make the video seem "dirty" to everyone. However, Jimmy Kimmel corrected her, saying that her story showed that she was willing to sacrifice and almost give her life for her art.
