Introduction to Wedding Trends
From civilian ceremonies, earthy, natural pallets to elaborate veils and dramatic vintage silhouettes, the wedding trend will give polarization this year. But whether couples choose functional or fantastic, one thing is clear: a growing number is no longer just about the big day.
Evolution of Wedding Celebrations
In countries like India, it has long been a tradition to organize multi-day wedding events that require several outfits and accessories. This will now be the norm across the board. The concept of a single-day wedding is evolving, with couples opting for extended celebrations that bring together family and friends over several days.
Pre-Wedding Events on the Rise
In 2024, a significant number of couples chose to have pre-wedding events. Specifically, 81 percent of Gen Z and 73 percent of millennials had a rehearsal dinner in the evening before their wedding. Additionally, a third of the millennials and 15 percent of Gen Zs had a welcome drink, while 24 percent of the millennials and 17 percent of Gen Z had a brunch in the morning. These events are becoming an integral part of the wedding experience, allowing couples to spend more time with their loved ones and create lasting memories.
