Alan Cumming’s Return to Nightcrawler
Alan Cumming was happy to reprise his role as Nightcrawler in the upcoming film "Avengers: Doomsday". In a recent interview, Cumming expressed his excitement about returning to the character, stating that it was a "really healing" experience.
A Second Chance at Playing Nightcrawler
Cumming’s first experience playing Nightcrawler in 2003 was "terrible" due to a difficult time on set. However, his return to the role was a vastly different experience. He described filming "Avengers: Doomsday" as "amazing" and a great opportunity to revisit a character he loved.
A More Positive Experience
Unlike his previous experience filming "X2" with director Bryan Singer, which Cumming described as "miserable" and "terrible", filming "Avengers: Doomsday" was a positive experience for the actor. He appreciated the kindness of the cast and crew, and was grateful to have the opportunity to play a superhero in his 60s.
A Star-Studded Cast
Cumming is not the only X-Man returning for "Avengers: Doomsday". Other notable cast members include Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Kelsey Grammer, James Marsden, and Rebecca Romijn. The film will also feature several core MCU favorites, including Robert Downey Jr., Anthony Mackie, Danny Ramirez, Sebastian Stan, Paul Rudd, Tom Hiddleston, Letitia Wright, and Winston Duke.
