Newgen Scheme Secures State Financing

The Newgen scheme has secured three more years of state financing, which will enable designers such as Aaron Esh, Aletta, Charlie Constantinou, and others to showcase their work during London Fashion Week.

New Talents Emerge

New talents are emerging, including Addison Rae Favorit, Lucila Safdie, and Made Made Domenswear brand Dreaming Eli, as well as Ukrainian contemporary label Kseniaschnaider and Men’s fashion Schneider Kyle Ho. The Talent Incubator Fashion East, which has launched prominent designers like Kim Jones and Jonathan Anderson, will celebrate its 25th anniversary.

LFW Event Plan

The LFW event plan is robust this season, with H&M hosting a runway event entitled "The London edition", which promises to be a "full fashion experience" with music, images, and atmosphere. Other activations include a Charli XCX concert and a party hosted by the BFC in cooperation with Digital Fashion and Lifestyle Magazine.

Decentralizing London Fashion

As part of a new strategy, the BFC aims to decentralize London fashion and improve access and opportunities for young people outside of London. The BFC will re-establish its urban celebration, a program of experiences and activities accessible to the public in Liverpool, Manchester, Newcastle, and London. A nationwide series of educational talks and panel discussions will also be organized, focusing on the cultural and geographical roots of British designers and brands.

Celebrating British Designers

The BFC will organize events and talks to celebrate British designers, including Barbour, Matty Bovan, Patrick McDowell, SS Daley, Talia Byre, and The Winter House. These events will provide a platform for emerging talents to showcase their work and for the public to engage with the fashion industry.
