Introduction to Nebula17
Nebula17 is a new global creative company launched by Naoki Osada, the former CEO of AVEX’s US Division. This company aims to integrate various aspects of the entertainment industry, including label, publishing, management, international strategy, and risk capital, all under one roof.
What Nebula17 Offers
According to a press release, Nebula17 will focus on developing US talents while also serving as a springboard for Japanese artists to penetrate the US and global markets. The company has already started working with Japanese rapper Awich and author producer Marcus Munroe on publishing projects. Additionally, Nebula17 participated in a financing round for a platform that connects independent artists with labels.
Vision and Goals
Naoki Osada expressed his excitement about launching Nebula17, stating that the world is finally ready to hear the voices of these artists. He believes that with proper A&R strategies, global management expertise, and an entrepreneurial spirit, the company can make a significant impact. Osada’s goal is to build a new bridge between Japanese culture and the global mainstream, one artist at a time, driven by top US creatives and managing directors.
Support and Investors
Nebula17 is supported by a group of strategic investors led by Akatsuki Inc., a Japanese entertainment company. Other key supporters include J-Pop star Sky-Hi’s management company BSMG, ASOBISYSTEM, and Awich’s management and music team. The list of investors also includes entrepreneur Paul Bragiel, co-founders of the crypto-focused VC Decima Fund, and C-Suite executives from gaming and Web3 company Gumi.
Future Plans
Nebula17 plans to open a studio house in West Hollywood, which will serve as a hub for songwriting and artist development. This move is expected to further establish the company’s presence in the global entertainment industry and provide a platform for artists to create and grow. With its unique approach and strong support, Nebula17 is poised to make a significant impact in the music industry and beyond.
