Introduction to the Piaget Society

In the 1970s, Yves Piaget, a fourth generation of the Swiss jewelry and watchmaker family, invited his jet-setter friends to vacation on the Mediterranean. This group included notable figures such as Dalí, Andy Warhol, Ursula Andress, and Salvador Dalí, with whom he collaborated on the Dalí d’Or jewelry collection. He called this exclusive gathering the "Piaget Society".

Revival of the Concept

About 50 years later, it felt like Piaget was revisiting this concept. The house unveiled its high jewelry collection, "Forms of the Extralega", in the Spanish coastal town of Barcelona. This event brought together brand ambassadors and celebrities, showcasing the luxury and sophistication of the Piaget brand.

The Event in Barcelona

The reveal of the "Forms of the Extralega" collection took place in the seminari conciliar de Barcelona, a neoclassical building in the city. Attendees included Thai actor Natawin Wattanagitiphat, Korean singer and actor Lee Jun-Ho, Korean actor Jun Ji-Hyun, and British model Ella Richards, among other celebrities like Amber Valletta. The evening culminated with a performance by Aloe Blacc, singer of the hit song "I Need a Dollar". This event marked a significant moment for Piaget, as it revisited its roots and exclusivity, reminiscent of the original Piaget Society gatherings.
