Exciting Additions to the Italian Global Series Festival

The Italian Global Series Festival (IGSF) is just around the corner, and it’s shaping up to be an unforgettable event. The festival has recently announced the addition of two highly anticipated series: ‘The Bear’ Season 4 and ‘Ironheart’. The first two episodes of both series will be screened at the festival, marking their Italian premiere.

What to Expect from the Festival

The IGSF will take place next week and will feature a range of exciting events, including a David Lynch retrospective and a preview screening of the Lena Dunham series from Netflix, ‘Too Much’. The festival will also showcase other popular series, such as ‘The Outlaws’ from Portugal, ‘Sunset Grove’ from Finland, ‘Extra’ from France, and ‘Perfect Days’ from Brazil.

New Additions to the Lineup

‘The Bear’ and ‘Ironheart’ are two of the most eagerly awaited series of the year, and their addition to the festival lineup is a major coup. The festival’s artistic director, Marco Spagnoli, expressed his excitement about the new additions, saying: "These additions to an already fantastic lineup speak to the extraordinary reach and quality that we want to present at the Italian Global Series Festival. The festival is not just a celebration of great storytelling, but a testament to the cultural and creative power of television on a global scale."

‘NCIS: Origins’ Comes to Germany

In other news, Germany’s Joyn and Sa.1 have acquired the rights to the new NCIS spin-off, ‘Origins’. The series will be available to stream on Joyn a week before its television premiere next month. ‘Origins’ is a prequel to the original NCIS series and follows a younger Leroy Jethro Gibbs as he navigates his early career as a NIS agent.

Expanding the NCIS Franchise

The deal between Joyn and Paramount Global Content Distribution also includes over 1,000 episodes from the NCIS franchise, as well as other popular series such as ‘Elementary’, ‘Dr. Quinn’, and ‘Charmed’. Dan Cohen, Chief Content Licensing Officer at Paramount, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, saying: "We are thrilled to expand our licensing agreement with Seven. One Entertainment Group to include the latest series from the NCIS franchise. The constantly growing NCIS franchise has proven to be a huge success over the years, and we are excited to bring ‘NCIS: Origins’ to the German audience."
