Heart Rock Band Falls Victim to Instrument Theft

The Grammy-nominated rock band Heart has reported that two of their irreplaceable instruments were stolen from the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City, just before the start of their tour. The stolen instruments belonged to band members Nancy Wilson and Paul Moak.

The Stolen Instruments

The stolen objects included a one-of-a-kind, custom-made purple Sparkle-Bariton-Telecaster with a hand-painted spindle stick, which was specifically produced for Nancy Wilson. The other instrument was a vintage mandolin from 1966 that Paul Moak has been playing for over 25 years. These instruments hold great sentimental value to the band members and are considered extensions of their musical souls.

A Reward for Information

The band is offering a reward for any information that leads to the safe return of their stolen instruments. Anyone with knowledge about the theft or the location of the instruments is asked to come forward and report to Heart’s Tour Manager, Tony Moon. The band is eager to recover their stolen instruments and is counting on the public’s help to make this happen.

The Emotional Impact

Nancy Wilson expressed her distress over the theft, stating that "these instruments are more than just tools of our trade – they are extensions of our musical souls." She emphasized that the baritone telecaster was made specifically for her, and Paul’s mandolin has been with him for decades. The band is heartbroken over the loss and is appealing for the safe return of their instruments, no questions asked.

A Brief History of the Band

Heart rose to fame in the 1970s with the release of their 1975 album "Dreamboat Annie". The album included the band’s breakout singles "Magic Man" and "Crazy on You", which reached No. 9 and No. 35 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Over the years, the band has undergone several lineup changes and has delivered numerous hits, including "Barracuda", "Who You Are", "What About Love", "These Dreams", and "Alone".

The Current Lineup

The current lineup of Heart consists of the Wilson sisters, Ann and Nancy Wilson, along with Ryan Waters, Ryan Wariner, Paul Moak, Tony Lucido, and Sean T. Lane. Despite the setback, the band is determined to continue their tour and perform for their fans, but they are eager to recover their stolen instruments and have them back on stage where they belong.
