Introduction to Cheese Rolling

It was hard cheese for local competitors in one of the most curious sporting traditions in England when the Bavarian Tom Kopke was victorious in the second year. The unofficial Cooper’s Hill Cheese-Rolling and Wake in the English county of Gloucestershire moved in thousands of spectators and numerous competitors to pursue an accelerated bike with dairy products on a steep grassy slope.

The Competition

The dry weather made the 50 gradient increase more tricky than usual, with racing drivers bumps blue-and-worse, to hit the coveted 3.6-kilogram double cheese with 8 pounds. And the 23-year-old Kopke was primarily over the finish line from the competitors who rushed and rolled upside down the hill to claim the prestigious first class price. His price? The cheese itself.

The Winner’s Statement

"It was crazy. It was different this year," added: "Last year the hill was muddy and this year it was dry and dangerous and people were injured. I switched off my brain and decided on it." The love of Munich, Kopkes cheese rolling competition has not been acknowledged since last year, and the Youtuber decided to capture his dairy-dash crown. "All people at the top said they would steal my title, but that belongs to me," he said. "I worked for it. I risked my life for it. It is my cheese. Back to get back."

Other Races

Several races are carried out at every annual cheese rolling, but the first men’s race is the most renowned and attracts the most attention of the media with experienced competitors and earlier champions. The women’s race was won by the 20-year-old Ava Supender Logan, which helps the refugee community supported-one group, the displaced people in northern France and homeless in London and Edinburgh.

Is Cheese Rolling Dangerous?

While there are other cheese rolling traditions in Great Britain, the event in Cooper’s Hill is the most famous and frenetic. The event is not a picnic, with the 23-fold champion of Chris Anderson torn calf muscles, bricked up ankle and injured kidneys. Although the official version of 2010 was scrapped due to security concerns, fans have preserved the tradition with a rebel race – now a chaotic but popular annual event.

History of Cheese Rolling

The cheese rolls downhill 200 meters, and the competitors do their best to keep up. The races that go back centuries and probably started as a spring ritual have become a global curiosity. After 15,000 appearance in 2009, the organizers pulled the plug-in but the locals and thrillers kept him rolling, although the police were now watching more than entering.
