Introduction to the Sarajevo Film Festival
The Sarajevo Film Festival has announced its selection of new feature projects for its co-production market. Among the selected titles are projects by Hilal Baydarov and David Kapac. The Cinelink Workshop will take place from June 16 to 20, and the Cinelink co-production market will run from August 16 to 21.
Selected Projects
Eight projects have been selected for the Cinelink Workshop. These projects include:
- Stone over stone by Hilal Baydarov, a film about a young couple living on a dilapidated construction site struggling to secure a future for their unborn child.
- Pagan by David Kapac, a drama set on a Dalmatian island in the 1920s, where a woman is delivered to the villagers after her sailor husband is lost at sea.
- Placed half empty, a portrait of a queer relationship in the context of the right-wing regime of Viktor Orban.
Co-Production Market Awards
The Co-Production Market Awards include €66,000 in prizes, such as the €20,000 Eurimages Co-Production Development Award and the €20,000 Cinelink Female Voices Award.
Cinelink Industry Days
The co-production market is part of the Cinelink Industry Days, which also selected seven drama series from Southeast Europe for the Cinelink-Drama Workshop Strand. These titles include:
- Under the surface by Asisima Proedrou, a political thriller about a young woman in Athens connected to international metal trade.
