Meadows shared that when he was a little boy from Uttoxeter, he had a family friend who had a static caravan in Ingoldmells, which is where a large part of his youth was spent, and he has nothing but beautiful memories of Skegness.

The director said it was an "honor" to be back in the area and said it would be his "proudest moment" if the film could be premiered in the city. Meadows says he has good memories of holidays in the resort as a child. The resort was the first place on the map that he wanted to start filming, and he added that he never thought he would come back and film there.
