A Dream Come True for a Young Coldplay Fan

Introduction to an Unforgettable Experience

Seeing your favorite band live for the first time is always a big moment, but for 15-year-old Coldplay fan Hannah, the experience was truly unforgettable. She and her friend Autumn were picked out of 90,000 people to go on stage and present the band at Wembley, making for a night that neither of them will ever forget.

The Moment of a Lifetime

Hannah, from the New Forest, explained how it felt to be on stage in front of thousands of fans. "Every time we spoke and the roar of the crowd, it just hit you like a shock wave and you couldn’t believe it," she said. The couple had arrived early to get a place at the front when the Coldplay team asked if they would like to go on stage that night. Hannah recalled, "You asked me and I just broke out crying and said ‘yes’."

Preparing for the Big Moment

Before going on stage, Hannah and Autumn were given some instructions. "They told us how quickly we say words – how loud – above all that they only told us that we should record everything," Hannah explained. Despite the brief preparation, the girls were ready to take on the challenge and make the most of their moment in the spotlight.

A Family Affair

Hannah’s love for Coldplay is a family affair. She inherited her love for the band from her grandmother, who bought Hannah’s tickets as a Christmas present, and her mother Kate, who was also at the Wembley Stadium that evening. Kate expressed her feelings, saying, "I only felt an overwhelming feeling of pride and astonishment, that was my little girl on stage."

After the Spotlight

After their moment in the spotlight, the excitement continued for Hannah and Autumn. They got to meet the band briefly and watched the rest of the concert from the side of the stage. Hannah described the experience, saying, "I have the feeling that I still dream, I have the feeling that I did all of this in my head and it didn’t actually happen to me." She added, "[It] was the best thing I’ve ever felt in my life."

Reliving the Memory

Since the concert, Hannah has relived the moment countless times, watching videos of her time on stage. The experience has left a lasting impression on her, and she feels grateful to have had such an amazing opportunity. As for Hannah and Autumn, they will always cherish the memory of the night they presented Coldplay at Wembley, a night that will stay with them forever.
