Kelly Clarkson’s Temporary Departure from Las Vegas
Kelly Clarkson has announced that she will be temporarily resigning from her residence in Las Vegas due to family matters. The singer, who is a three-time Grammy winner, made the announcement on Wednesday evening, stating that she needs to be "completely present" for her family.
Reason for the Departure
The reason for Clarkson’s departure is due to her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock, being sick. In a post on X, Clarkson explained that she usually keeps her personal life private, but she needs to be fully present for her family during this time. She apologized to her fans who had purchased tickets for her upcoming shows and appreciated their understanding.
Previous Delays
This is not the first time that Clarkson has delayed her studio sessions. In July, she pushed the opening of her residence due to vocal problems. At the time, she stated that she had been working around the clock to make her studio sessions the most intimate and extraordinary experiences for her fans. However, the preparation and rehearsals had taken a toll on her voice, and she wanted the shows to be perfect for her fans.
Impact on Her Residency
Clarkson’s residency was announced in February, and her next performance is scheduled for November 7. The residency was originally supposed to end on November 15, but due to the temporary departure, the remaining August dates have been rescheduled. Clarkson has assured her fans that she will return to her residency and will make sure that the shows are perfect for them.
Statement from Kelly Clarkson
In her statement, Clarkson wrote, "Unfortunately, I have to move the rest of the studio meeting dates in Las Vegas in August. While I usually keep my personal life private, my children’s father was sick last year, and at that moment, I have to be fully present for you. I am sincerely sorry to those who bought tickets for the shows, and I appreciate your grace, friendliness, and understanding." Clarkson’s fans have been supportive of her decision, and she is grateful for their understanding during this difficult time.
