Introduction to Paramount’s New Management Team
David Ellison, the chairman and CEO of Paramount, has introduced the company’s new management team following the approval of the US government for the SkyDance Media-Paramount Global fusion. The merger is expected to be closed this week.
Leadership Structure
The new team will be led by David Ellison and President Jeff Shell, who will oversee three main segments. Cindy Holland, the former Vice President of original content at Netflix, will head the streaming business. Josh Greenstein and Dana Goldberg will supervise the studios, while George Cheeks will be responsible for TV media.
Key Appointments
Greenstein, the former president of Sony Pictures Entertainment Film Group, will serve as co-chairman of Paramount Pictures and Paramount Television, alongside Goldberg, the former Chief Creative Officer of Skydance. Cheeks, who recently joined Paramount Global as Co-CEO, will lead the TV media segment. He previously directed the CBS network.
Other Appointments
The C-Suite team will include Andy Gordon as Chief Strategy Officer and Chief Operating Officer, Stephanie Kyoko McKinnon as General Counsel and deputy Chief Legal Officer, Jim Sterner as Chief People Officer, and Melissa Zukerman as Chief Communications Officer. Andrew Warren will continue as interim CFO.
Changes in the Company
Tom Ryan, Paramount’s Head of Streaming, will leave the company after a transition phase, during which he will work with Holland. Ryan was instrumental in launching the advertising-supported Pluto TV in 2014. Former co-CEO of Paramount Global, Chris McCarthy, has announced his departure, and former co-CEO Brian Robbins is expected to follow suit.
Statement from David Ellison
In a statement, Ellison said, "Every member of the team was selected to help achieve our goals and drive transformation. Together, we will create an environment where creative and technical talents work seamlessly together, leveraging leading technologies with powerful storytelling and artistic vision to unlock the full potential of Paramount and shape the future of our industry."
Paramount’s Brands
The company’s portfolio includes Paramount Pictures, Paramount Television, CBS, Paramount+, Pluto TV, Nickelodeon, and MTV. The merger is expected to be closed on August 7th, marking a new era for the company.
Late-Night Talk Show
The network has also announced that it will set the late-night talk show "The Late Show" with comedian Stephen Colbert in May 2026. Colbert described the settlement as a "big fat bribe." The controversy surrounding the show has been a topic of discussion in the industry.
