The Use of Generative AI
The Co-CEO also expressed optimism about the use of generative AI in areas such as VFX and said that technology was an incredible opportunity to help creators make films and series better. "In the past, only projects with a large budget would access advanced visual effects such as de-aging," continued Sarandos. "It’s just no longer the case."

At the same time, Netflix published its report on advertising for the first half of 2025. The British miniseries Youth was the most-watched show of the streamer over the period with 145 million views. The second season of Squid game reached 117.3 million views in the first four days.
