Toronto International Film Festival Lineup

The Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) has announced its lineup for this year’s festival, which includes 11 galas and special presentations. The festival will take place from September 4th to 14th and will feature a variety of films from around the world.

World Premieres

Several films will make their world premiere at the festival, including Paul Greengrass’ drama "The Lost Bus", Rian Johnson’s ensemble film "The Dead Man Wake Up: A Knife from the Secret", and Chloe Zhao’s period drama "Hamnet" starring Jessie Buckley and Paul Mescal. Other world premieres include Hiraki’s comedy-drama "Rental Family", Nicholas Hytner’s "The Choir", and Agnieszka Holland’s biopic "Franz" about the Czech author Franz Kafka.

Galas

The festival’s galas include "The Choir", "Homebound", "Hamnet", "A Private Life", "Roofman", and "She Has No Name". These films will be screened at the festival and will feature prominent actors and directors.

Special Presentations

The special presentations include "Franz", "The Lost Bus", "Rental Family", "Steal", and "The Dead Man Wake Up: A Knife from the Secret". These films will also be screened at the festival and will feature a variety of genres and styles.

Festival Highlights

The festival will open with Colin Hanks’ documentary "John Candy: I Like Myself" and will also feature Steven Soderbergh’s comedy "The Christophen", Alejandro Amenábar’s adventure film "The Caught", and Nia DaCosta’s "Hedda". The festival will announce more films and programming in the coming weeks.
