Remembering Cameron Boyce

Cameron Boyce’s legacy lives on six years after his death, with his co-stars keeping his memory alive. The Disney Channel Original Movie Trilogy star passed away in 2019 at the age of 20 due to an epileptic seizure.

Tribute from Co-Stars

On Sunday, Cameron’s co-stars paid tribute to the late actor, who created the role of Cruella de Vil’s son Carlos in the original Fantasy Movie Musical in 2015. Sofia Carson took to Instagram to share a behind-the-scenes photo, writing "Our angel forever." Booboo Stewart also shared the same photo in his Instagram story.

Cherished Memories

Sarah Jeffery shared a photo of Cameron from 2014, taken on a BC ferry to Victoria to shoot more scenes. She captioned the photo, "Life is good. Miss you, Cam." These tributes show how much Cameron’s co-stars cherished their time with him and continue to miss him.

Cameron’s Life and Career

Cameron was known for his roles in Disney Channel shows such as "Jessie" and "Descendants." He died in his sleep on July 6, 2019, due to a seizure caused by a persistent medical condition, later revealed to be epilepsy. His family found him unresponsive and later announced that he had passed away.

Family Statement

A family representative released a statement at the time of his death, saying, "We report with a deeply heavy heart that we lost Cameron this morning. He died due to a seizure in his sleep that was due to a continued medical illness for which he was treated." The family asked for privacy during this difficult time, mourning the loss of their "precious son and brother."

The Cameron Boyce Foundation

In honor of Cameron, his family started the Cameron Boyce Foundation to help cure epilepsy by funding research, education, and awareness campaigns. The foundation continues to work towards a future where no one has to suffer from epilepsy, keeping Cameron’s spirit alive through their efforts.
