Germany is set to host several new film productions, including a historical drama directed by Paul Greengrass and a comedy-drama directed by Julia von Heinz. These productions have received significant funding from the Bavaria co-production fund FFF Bayern.
Paul Greengrass’ "The Anger"
Paul Greengrass’ new film, "The Anger", will be a co-production between Germany and the UK. The film stars Andrew Garfield and Thomasin McKenzie and is set in 14th century England during the plague. It tells the story of a farmer who triggers a rebellion against King Richard III and becomes a legend of resistance. The film will be shot on location in Bavaria, with interior scenes filmed at Munich’s Penzstudios. The production has received 2 million euros in funding from FFF Bayern.
