Introduction to Ed Sheeran’s New Song

Ed Sheeran has released a brand new song and music video ahead of the upcoming film "F1: The Film". The singer published "Drive" on Thursday, which will be featured on the accompanying album "F1: The Album". The film, starring Brad Pitt and directed by Joseph Kosinski, is set to be released on June 27th, along with the album.

About the Song "Drive"

"Drive" is produced by John Mayer and Blake Slatkin, and features an impressive lineup of musicians, including John Mayer on guitar, Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl on drums, bassist Pino Paladino, and keyboardist Rami Jaffee. The song also includes additional keyboards and drum programming from Slatkin.

The Music Video

A music video for "Drive" has been released, which can be watched on YouTube. The video showcases the song’s high-energy beat and features Ed Sheeran performing alongside the other musicians.

Production of F1: The Album

"F1: The Album" was produced and curated by Atlantic Records West Coast President Kevin Weaver, who has also worked on soundtracks for films like "Barbie", "Twister", and "The Greatest Showman". The album was also produced by Joseph Kosinski, Jerry Bruckheimer, and music director David Taylor, along with Jake Voulgarides.

Lineup for F1: The Album

Ed Sheeran joins a star-studded lineup of artists featured on the soundtrack, including Doja Cat, Rosé, Chris Stapleton, Roddy Rich, Myke Towers, Tate McRae, Burna Boy, and Raye. The album promises to be an exciting and eclectic mix of genres and styles.

About the Film F1: The Film

The film "F1: The Film" stars Brad Pitt as a former F1 driver named Sonny Hayes, who comes out of retirement to team up with a younger driver, Joshua Pearce (played by Damson Idris). The film also features Kerry Condon, Tobias Menzies, Kim Bodnia, and Javier Bardem.

Production and Release

The film is directed by Joseph Kosinski, who co-wrote the script with Ehren Kruger. Daniel Lupi served as executive producer, and Lewis Hamilton, a seven-time world champion and face of F1, produced the film. "F1: The Album" is available for pre-order and will be released on June 27th, along with the film.

Pre-Order and Release Date

Atlantic Records’ "F1: The Album" can be pre-ordered now and will be available in stores and online on Friday, June 27th, in conjunction with the theatrical release of the Warner Bros. Pictures film.
