Miley Cyrus Joins Beyoncé on Stage

Miley Cyrus was the first official guest actor to enter the stage during Beyoncé’s "Cowboy Carter" tour. She appeared on Thursday at the Paris Stade de France to give the live debut of her Grammy award-winning song "II Most Wanted".

The Surprise Performance

At the beginning of the day, rumors were circulating that Cyrus, who appeared live for Spotify’s billions of clubs in Paris, had discovered soundchecking with Beyoncé, who prepared for the first of three appearances in France. Cyrus entered the set deep into the performance to carry out "II Most Wanted" for the first time, and again became the first guest of the tour.

About the Song "II Most Wanted"

"II Most Wanted" was recorded in Beyoncé’s "Cowboy Carter", which was released in March 2024. The song was published as the third single from the set and continued to win the Grammy for the best country duo/group performance.

The Story Behind the Song

Cyrus previously discussed that she initially wrote the song about two and a half years before the end of "Cowboy Carter". She said that when Beyoncé turned her over music, she immediately thought about it because it really includes their relationship. Cyrus told Beyoncé, "We don’t have to get a country; We are land. We were land." She also said, "I told her, ‘You know, between the one from Texas and me from Tennessee, so that many of us will be in this song.’ To write a song, not just to sing, because Beyoncé was a dream."

Beyoncé’s Ongoing Tour

Beyoncé is shortly after halftime of her "Cowboy Carter" tour after being redesigned in Los Angeles, Chicago, New Jersey, and London. After she wraps up in Paris on June 22nd, she returns to the USA to show shows in her hometown, Washington, DC, Atlanta, and Las Vegas, where she will complete the hike on July 26th.
