Introduction to the Music Biopic

"The Bear" star Jeremy Allen White is set to play the iconic musician Bruce Springsteen in the upcoming music biopic "Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere". The film’s first official trailer has been released, giving fans a glimpse into the life of the legendary artist.

The Story Behind the Film

The biopic is directed by Scott Cooper, who previously led the Oscar-winning film "Crazy Heart" starring Jeff Bridges. Cooper’s latest project is based on Warren Zanes’ book about Springsteen, which inspired the musician’s personal album "Nebraska" in 1982. The film will delve into Springsteen’s life, exploring his relationships, struggles, and successes.

The Cast

The film boasts an impressive cast, including Jeremy Strong as Jon Landau, Springsteen’s manager; Stephen Graham as Douglas Springsteen, Bruce’s father; Paul Walter Hauser as Mike Batlan, a reception engineer; Odessa Young as Faye, Springsteen’s love interest; Marc Maron as producer Chuck Plotkin; Johnny Cannizzaro as Steve van Zandt, the guitarist of the E-Street band; Harrison Gilbertson as Matt Delia, a friend of Springsteen’s; David Krumholtz as Al Teller, a Columbia Records executive; and Chris Jaymes as Dennis King, a mastering engineer.

Recent Music Biopics

"Deliver Me From Nowhere" is the latest in a series of biopics about musical legends. Recent films like "A Complete Stranger", "Elvis", and "Bohemian Rhapsody" have garnered attention and acclaim, with some even earning Oscar nominations. Last year, Timothée Chalamet was a strong contender for his portrayal of Bob Dylan, while Rami Malek won the Oscar for his representation of Freddie Mercury in "Bohemian Rhapsody". Austin Butler also won the BAFTA Award for his performance as Elvis Presley in "Elvis".

Production and Release

The film is produced by 20th Century Studios, a subsidiary of Disney, and is produced by Cooper along with Ellen Goldsmith-Vein and Eric Robinson of the Gotham Group. Springsteen and Landau are also involved in the project, ensuring an authentic and accurate portrayal of the musician’s life. "Deliver Me From Nowhere" is set to hit theaters on October 24th.
