Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival 2025 Canceled
The Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival 2025 was canceled just one day after it started due to extreme weather conditions. The four-day event, which attracted 70,000 participants last year, began in Manchester, TN, with popular artists such as Tyler, the Creator, Olivia Rodrigo, and Vampire Weekend scheduled to perform until Sunday evening.
Reason for Cancellation
The organizers canceled the rest of the event after "significant" precipitation made the conditions unsafe for attendees. According to the official website, "We are not disappointed, but we have to make the safest decision and cancel the rest of Bonnaroo." The decision was made due to "significant and steady precipitation, which will create deteriorating camping and exit conditions in the coming days."
Festival Details
The festival was scheduled to run from Thursday to Sunday, with various artists and activities planned for each day. However, on Friday, the organizers stopped the shows at around 1 p.m. due to the weather and evacuated the center shortly afterwards. The organizers expressed their disappointment, saying, "We have made our hearts and souls make the special of the year this weekend and cannot express how destroyed we are to make this decision."
Refund Policy
All one-day ticket holders and parking buyers from Friday to Sunday will receive a refund. Those who bought four-day tickets and four-day camping accommodations will receive a refund of 75 percent. The refunds will be processed within 30 days, according to the organizers.
Message to Attendees
The organizers thanked attendees for their patience, positivity, and "infallible Bonnaroov Spirit." They encouraged those whose campsites were in good condition or who were staying in a motorhome or pre-tensioned accommodation to stay overnight so that the organizers could safely escort them out the next day. Despite the cancellation, the organizers appreciated the enthusiasm and support of the attendees and looked forward to a better experience in the future.
