Miley Cyrus Surprises Fans with Intimate Performance
Miley Cyrus took a moment during her new album playback to give the 100-person audience a heads up: "My next album is just for the experimental audience." She hinted that "Something Nice" is just the starter.

At this point, the room had already heard the album in full when Cyrus chose Los Angeles’ Chateau Marmont to debut her ninth record for fans who were lucky enough to secure a spot over social media. Cyrus had invited guests to her TikTok videos with their song "Easy Lover".
A Night to Remember
However, what they did not expect was a surprising performance by Cyrus, which appeared after the album playback, to debut a handful of songs from the project and a few fan favorites, including a spontaneous rendition of her former hit "The Climb". The evening was certainly for fans, a collaboration between TikTok and Cyrus, as she consistently recognized how closely she knew every adlib and every important change.
Behind the Music
Cyrus took the provisional stage in front of the room, which included actress Anya Taylor-Joy in the audience, and began with "More to Loose", the comprehensive ballad, which she previously published as a single. "I have experimented with this album over the past year or two by having these nights in Chateau. They were only invited, super exclusive, only my closest friends and my family," she said at the beginning of the set.
Live Debuts and Surprises
Cyrus was committed to the live debut of "Easy Lover" and her Grammy-winning smash "Flowers", which she described as "one of the most exciting songs I have ever released in the universe". She continued with a provisional cover of "The Climb", which Pollack, who previously worked with Cyrus on "Flowers" and others, including Beyoncé and Justin Bieber, knew how to play, much to Cyrus’ surprise.
Special Moments
She then closed with "End of the World" and described how she wrote it in the room she stood in. "This song was written in this room," she said. “It has changed and transformed because I was under the ceiling here at this place, and this place has so many memories for me that I will not tell you." There was a last surprise for the evening when a participant appeared, just as she spoke to the crowd to suggest his friend. "Get a room! Put it on my bill. If you want a bed, I’ll charge it to my card," she said when the room broke out.

"Something Nice" arrives this Friday, followed by its visual film on June 6th. The intimate performance was a special treat for fans, and a testament to Cyrus’ dedication to her craft and her connection with her audience.
