Global Production Awards Celebrate Outstanding Work in Film and Television Industry
The third Global Production Awards (GPAS) took place on May 19 at Mademoiselle Gray Plage Barrière, with 14 competitive awards and a special recognition award that was awarded to the finalists.
About the Global Production Awards
The GPAs, presented by Screen International in cooperation with Sister Brands Global Production and Broadcast, aim to celebrate outstanding, sustainable work and showcase the best global locations, outstanding studio facilities, and creative crews and ideas. The awards recognize the value that these elements bring to local and international production teams.
Winners of the Global Production Awards
The winners included Focus Features and Universal Pictures’ Touch, which collected the award for outstanding use of locations, and UFE’s Love Hurts, winner of the Sustainable Production Award – Film. The TV version of the award went to British production Great Animals and Mini Me.
The awards for film commissions went to Spain and Canada’s BC Film Commission for Best City/Region. Cinespace Studios won the award for Studio of the Year, while British Garden Studios won a sustainability initiative for its re-set program.

The Global Production Awards are open to organizations and companies that work in the film and television industry, including studios, production companies, film commissions, locations, suppliers, manufacturers, and all services involved in film and television production.
The jury committee, compiled by specialist strategy consulting and supporting partner Olsberg ∙ Spi, was drawn from across the industry and comprised high-quality TV and film producers, production managers, and representatives of film commissions.
