Introduction to Range Music’s New Composer Department

Range Music has announced the launch of its composer department, marking a significant milestone for the company. This new division is set to make a splash in the music industry, and its first official move is the appointment of experienced agent Jeff Jernigan.

Who is Jeff Jernigan?

Jernigan comes from Kraft-Engel Management, a well-known company that represents composers. His impressive background also includes stints at BMG Music Publishing and the ASCAP organization of Rights. Jernigan’s client list boasts an array of talented composers, including Steve Price (Gravity), Tom Howe (Ted Lasso), Flea (The Substance), Brandon Roberts (Andor), Joseph Stephens (The Fair Gemstones), Disasterpeace (It Follows), and Helen Park (KPOP), as well as music executives Amanda Krig Thomas and Steven Gizicki.

Exciting Times for Music in Media

"It’s an incredible time for music in media, and Range is the perfect home for these creators," said Jernigan in a statement. "I’m thrilled to build a vibrant representation business with the unparalleled access and opportunities that this company and team offer." With the ever-increasing demand for high-quality music in film, television, and other media, Jernigan’s expertise will undoubtedly be a valuable asset to Range Music.

Connection to Range Media Partners

Jernigan has worked with Range in the past, particularly with co-president of Range Film & Production, Fred Berger. Berger produced La La Land and A Complete Unknown, both of which featured Gizicki as music supervisor. The music department of Range Media Partners already manages a talented roster of artists, songwriters, and producers, including Jack Harlow, Noah Cyrus, Shaboozey, Sawetie, Dylan Gossett, Sean Douglas, and Wondagurl.

A New Chapter for Range Music

"We couldn’t be more excited to launch this new range of experts within Range," said Berger and Range Media Partners, who will be working closely with managing partner Matt Graham. "It’s a natural fit as we expand and develop our business with music representation and deepen our commitment to music-driven stories. As the first hire for this division, Jeff brings a wealth of knowledge, an incredible roster, and vast experience to our film department." With Jernigan at the helm, Range Music’s composer department is poised to make a significant impact on the music industry.
