New Additions to the Cannes Film Festival
The Cannes Film Festival has added four new titles to its official selection.
Competition Line-up
BI goose resurrection joins the competition line-up. It is a science fiction detective film starring Jackson Yee and Shu Qi, with Les Films Du Losange handling sales.
Out of Competition
Martin Bourboulon’s 13 Days 13 Nights will play outside of the competition. Based on the book by Commander Mohamed Bida, it follows the evacuation of the French embassy in 2021 when Afghanistan fell to the Taliban. The film features Roschdy Zem, Lyna Khoudri, and Sidse Babett Knudsen.
Special Screenings
Eugene Jarecki’s documentary The Six Billion Dollar Man about Julian Assange will play as a special screening.
Premiere at Cannes
Lise Akoka and Roman Gueret’s My Brother will play in the premiere at Cannes. The directors won the top prize in 2022 for The Worst.
Completion of Official Selection
The festival has confirmed that the official selection list has now been completed, with these four new titles joining the existing lineup.
