New Co-Heads of Creative at Capitol Music Group

The company announced on Monday that Sara Nothing and Joe Mortimer are the new co-heads of creative at Capitol Music Group.

Background and Experience

Sara Nothing comes from Partizan, a company founded by director Michel Gondry, where she worked as a producer for six years. During her career, she has worked with artists like Pharrell Williams, Daft Punk, Travis Scott, Billie Eilish, Usher, Dua Lipa, A$AP Rocky, Burna Boy, Cat, and Sza. Joe Mortimer joins Capitol after working as a creative director at Astralwerk since 2018, where he built global campaigns for marshmello, Illenium, avalanches, SG Lewis, and ZHU.

Reaction from Capitol Music Group Chairman and CEO

"Sara and Joe come to Capitol after working with some of the most celebrated artists, directors, and creative visionaries in the world," said Tom March, Chairman and CEO of Capitol Music Group. "Together they form a strong team to help the incredible artists on our label to exploit their full creative potential and drive our constant transformation into Capitol."

Joe Mortimer’s Previous Work

Before joining Capitol, Mortimer worked in London as an art director for artists such as Jungle and Bob Moses. He has also worked with photographers and directors like Jack Bridgland, Gordon von Steiner, and Hannah Lux Davis. In 2025, he created the California Picture Project, a photographic print sales initiative that raised donations for Los Angeles forest fires through contributions from over 160 artists.

Sara Nothing’s Previous Work

Sara Nothing has worked closely with celebrated directors like Warren Fu, Nono Ayuso, Rodrigo Inada, Ally Pankiw, and others on music videos, marketing documents, and short films.

Fat Joe and Jadakiss have launched a new podcast, "Joe & Jada", presented by Increase Mobile and produced by The Volume and ROC Nation. The podcast will feature discussions on music, sports, and culture, with new episodes released twice a week on YouTube and all audio platforms.

Audius Signs Global Deal with Downtown Music

Audius has signed a global contract with Downtown Music, which includes both the recorded music and publishing businesses of Downtown. The deal paves the way for millions of licensed recordings from Downtown’s catalog to be added to Audius, unlocking a new way for artists and labels to connect directly with fans and control how their music is monetized.
