An Unlikely Artist

Tiffany Anna, a Guernsey artist, has taken the art world by storm with her vibrant and uplifting paintings. Despite only starting to paint during the Covid lockdown, she has gained a massive following of over 200,000 supporters on Instagram. Her art is not only a reflection of her own creativity but also a way to inspire others to explore their artistic side.

From Photography to Painting

Before discovering her passion for painting, Tiffany worked as a photographer. However, it was during the lockdown in 2020 that she asked her artist mother if she could borrow her brushes. This marked the beginning of her journey as a painter. She started with a simple painting of a bee, which she thought would be easy to paint. To her surprise, someone asked to buy it, and she was encouraged to continue creating.

The Power of Positive Art

Tiffany’s art is centered around positivity and happiness. She believes that in a world filled with sadness and negativity, art can be a powerful tool to uplift and inspire people. Her goal is to create art that makes people smile and feel happy. She says, "I think in the world we are living in, there are many sad things and depressing things, and people are struggling with mental health. I love to create art that makes people feel happy when they look at it."

Art as Therapy

For Tiffany, painting is not just a hobby, but also a form of therapy. When she feels depressed, she turns to her studio, puts on music, and starts painting. The process of creating art helps her to feel better and forget about her worries. She wants to encourage others to experience the same joy and therapeutic benefits of art. "I really want more people to have access to this, so they can feel how I feel when I paint," she says.

Exhibition and Inspiration

Tiffany’s exhibition, which runs until May 25th at the Jaro Gallery in St. Helier, Jersey, is a testament to her hard work and dedication. She is thrilled to have the opportunity to share her art with others and hopes to inspire them to take up art again. With her massive following and inspiring story, Tiffany is sure to make a lasting impact on the art world. As she says, "I love to inspire people to do that because I feel it’s so important to be creative."
