New Action Thriller Acquired by Magnolia Pictures
Magnolia Pictures has acquired the US rights to the action thriller "40 Tomorrow" from Visit Films. The film stars Danielle Deadwyler, known for her roles in "The Piano Lesson" and "Until".
Plot and Cast
The story, led by RT Thorne, takes place in a world where a plague has eradicated animals, and follows a young man whose encounter with a young woman threatens the way of life of his fellow survivors. The film also stars Michael Grayeyes, Kataem O’Connor, and Milcania Diaz-Rojas.
Production and Release
"40 Tomorrow" is a production of Hungry Media, 4T Productions Inc., Fela, and Backhome. The script was written by Thorne and Glenn Taylor, and produced by Jennifer Holess, along with several executive producers, including Taj Critchlow, Thorne, Deadwyler, and others. Magnolia plans to release the film in early summer, following a deal made between SVP of Acquisitions John von Thaden and Visit Film president Ryan Kampe.
