Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco’s New Music Venture
Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco are expanding their collaborative era, bringing along special guests for the ride. The duo recently announced the Deluxe version of their first album, "I said I love you first … and you said it back", featuring additional tracks with GloRilla, Cigarettes After Sex, and DJ Sliink.
The Deluxe Edition
The new edition, set to release on May 2, was announced on social media alongside photos of the original album cover and an open polaroid of the couple. According to Gomez, the extended edition will include new songs, "some favorites that you may recognize and recognize songs from the original album".
Upcoming Single and Music Video
Gomez also teased a new single and music video, titled "Talk", which is scheduled to drop on May 1st at 9 p.m. The music video is expected to feature footage from Gomez’s prom-themed birthday party, which Blanco organized. Gomez had never been to a prom before, and Blanco shared that she was excited but unsure of what to do.
A Prom to Remember
The party was a memorable experience for Gomez, who said it was "the best ever". Blanco recalled that Gomez was asking questions like "what do I wear? What do I do?" The prom-themed music video is likely to be a fun and lighthearted visual treat for fans.
Chart-Topping Success
The original album, "I said I love you first", debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 chart in March, earning 120,000 album units in its first week. This marked the largest week of units for both artists. Although Blanco has written and produced several singles for Gomez’s projects in the past, "I said I love you first" is their first joint project. The couple announced their engagement in December, and fans are eagerly waiting to see what’s next for them.
