Introduction to the X-Men Film
The man behind the Thunderbolts may change from the new avenues to some newer mutants. Thunderbolts director Jake Schreier is supposedly in conversations to lead the impending X-Men Film for Disney and Marvel Studios, according to Deadline. While nothing is carved in stone, this would be another pen in the cap for a director whose recent MCU film received high praise.
Details on the Process
Details on the process remain unclear. However, Schreier was reportedly one of the best options for leading the upcoming X-Men Film, with the President of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige, working hard to find the perfect fit. It is not surprising that he would land on screaming Thunderbolts, which was received after a series of less than outstanding MCU films. But nothing has been carved in stone yet.
The X-Men Film
The X-Men film, which has been rumored for some time, seems to be perfectly fitting, as Schreier has shown that he can develop a film with an ensemble line-up. Thunderbolts, which was largely renamed The New Avenues after Yelena Belova’s CrackPot team, starring Florence Pugh and David Harbor, is a great example of this.
An X-Men Reboot Has Been Long Awaited
An X-Men reboot has been expected for a long time, and this marks a significant springboard for one X-Men film that was rumored to have been in the works since the purchase of Disney Fox in 2019. Marvel Studios handed over the rights to the X-Men franchise, and no casting has ever expired on the ground. However, last year, a big jump was passed forward when it was announced that Michael Lesslie was in conversations to write an X-Men script book, produced with cowardly for Marvel.
Schreier’s Background
When Schreier gets the job for the X-Men film, along with Thunderbolts, it would easily represent his biggest projects so far. Born in California, he is also known to have directed the Romcom film Paper Cities, a 2015 film based on the book of the same name by John Green. He also shot some remarkable TV sagas, including the anthology series Beef and Star Wars: Skeleton Crew. But with his big MCU jump with Thunderbolts, along with his next possible excursion, X-Men, Schreier looks prepared to become one of Marvel Studios’ favorite directors.
Release Window
No release window for the X-Men film was announced. Thunderbolts is now in cinemas.
