2. The Expanse (2015–2022)
Inspired by James SA Corey‘s novel series, The Expanse is a science fiction show set in a distant future where humanity has colonized the solar system. The series follows the captain of an interplanetary ship, a member of the UN Security Council, and a cynical detective, all of whom become embroiled in a sinister conspiracy while dealing with multiple existential crises caused by a newly discovered alien technology. The show stars Thomas Jane, Steven Strait, Cas Anvar, Dominique Tipper, Wes Chatham, Frankie Adams, and Shohreh Aghdashloo in the main roles.

Sharon Horgan and Rob Delaney are the creators, writers, and stars of this British sitcom about two singles who become a couple after an unexpected pregnancy.
