Taylor Swift’s Concert Film and Documentary Series

Taylor Swift has announced that her concert film, The Era Tour | The last show, and a documentary series, Taylor Swift | The Era Tour | The end of an era, will be released on Disney+ on December 12th. The concert film features the entire Tortured Poets Department set and the documentary series will include six episodes, with the first two episodes released on December 12th.

Behind the Scenes

Swift announced the news on her social media, stating that she wanted to capture every moment of the tour, which was the culmination of an important chapter in her life. The documentary series will provide an intimate look into Swift’s life as she toured around the world, featuring cast members, family members, and friends, including Gracie Abrams, Sabrina Carpenter, Ed Sheeran, and Florence Welch.

The Concert Film

The concert film, The Era Tour | The last show, was filmed in Vancouver and features the final show of the tour. The film was directed by Glenn Weiss and produced by Taylor Swift Productions in association with Silent House Productions. The documentary series, Taylor Swift | The Era Tour | The end of an era, was directed by Don Argott and co-directed by Sheena M. Joyce.

The Album

The news comes after the release of Swift’s latest album, The life of a showgirl, which broke records on its release day, selling 2.7 million copies. The album is expected to be her 15th No. 1 on the Billboard 200. Swift has been promoting the album on late-night television, appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and Late Night with Seth Meyers.

Release Details

Following the release of the concert film and the first two episodes of the documentary series on December 12th, two episodes of the docuseries will be released weekly. The album, The life of a showgirl, was produced and written by Swift, along with hitmakers Max Martin and Shellback. The album’s release was accompanied by a film, which grossed an estimated $33 million at the domestic box office in its opening weekend and an additional $13 million worldwide.

Upcoming Episodes

The documentary series will offer "never-before-seen insights into the making of a phenomenon" and will feature Swift’s friends and family members. The series will provide a unique look into Swift’s life and career, and will be a must-watch for fans.
