Directing The Revenge of La Llorona is Canadian filmmaker Santiago Menghini, known for his award-winning short film Milk and who made his feature film debut with the 2021 horror film Nobody Gets Out Alive. Sean Tretta, who worked with James Wan on the feature set of Creature from the Black Lagoon at Universal, wrote the film’s screenplay. Meanwhile, Wan returns as producer, along with Emile Gladstone and Gary Dauberman.
