Introduction to the Super Bowl LXVIII Halftime Show

The Apple Music Super Bowl LXVIII Halftime Show is scheduled to take place on February 8, 2026, at the Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, featuring Bad Bunny as the main performer. This event marks a significant milestone for the Puerto Rican musician, who has had a remarkable year with the release of his seventh album "Debí Tirar Más Photos" and a 30-day residency in the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum of San Juan.

Bad Bunny’s Statement

Bad Bunny expressed his excitement and gratitude for the opportunity to perform at the Super Bowl, stating, "What I feel goes beyond me. It is for those who came in front of me and ran countless courtyards so that I could get in and achieve a touchdown. This is for my people, my culture, and our history." He also mentioned his abuela, highlighting the importance of his heritage and the impact of this performance on his community.

Upcoming Tour and Performances

Bad Bunny’s upcoming Debí Tirar Más Photos World Tour is set to begin on December 5 in Costa Rica, with stops in Mexico, Spain, England, and Italy. Initially, he had not planned any appearances in the United States, citing concerns about ice attacks. However, with the Super Bowl performance announced, he may reconsider his tour schedule. Before and after the Super Bowl, he has planned shows in Chile and Argentina, although it is unclear if these will still take place.

Reaction from Jay-Z and Roc Nation

Jay-Z, founder of Roc Nation, which has partnered with the NFL to book the Super Bowl halftime show since 2019, praised Bad Bunny’s contributions to Puerto Rico and his music. Jay-Z stated, "What Benito did for Puerto Rico and continues to do is really inspiring. It is an honor for us to have him on the largest stage in the world."

Previous Super Bowl Performers

In recent years, the Super Bowl halftime show has featured notable performers such as Kendrick Lamar, Sza, Samuel L. Jackson, Mustard, and Serena Williams. Other past performers include Usher, Rihanna, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, and 50 Cent. This year’s performance by Bad Bunny is expected to be a unique and exciting addition to the Super Bowl lineup.

Rumors and Speculations

There had been rumors that Adele and Taylor Swift might perform at the Super Bowl next year. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell mentioned that Taylor Swift would always be welcome to perform at the halftime show, citing her exceptional talent. However, with Bad Bunny’s performance announced, it seems that these rumors may not come to fruition this year.
