San Sebastián Film Festival Winners
The San Sebastián Film Festival, which took place from September 19 to September 27th in the Spanish Basque Country, has announced its winners. Spanish filmmaker Alauda Azúas Ruiz’s film "Sundays" won the Golden Shell for the best film, along with four other awards.
Notable Winners
Other notable winners include "The Voice of the Hind Rajab," which won the Grand Jury Prize at the Venice Film Festival and received two awards at the San Sebastián Film Festival, including the Audience Award. "Good Valley Stories" by José Luis Guerin won the Special Jury Award and took home three additional awards.
Jury and Ceremony
The official jury was headed by director JA Bayona, who announced the list of winners along with other jurors, including Portuguese filmmaker Laura Carreira, last year’s special award winner Gia Coppola, actress Zhou Dongyu, Argentine singer Lali Espósito, actor Mark Strong, and French producer Anne-Dominique Toussaint. The final ceremony was presented by Itsaso Arana and Óscar Lasarte at the Kursaal Auditorium.
