Introduction to Wicked: Forever

The last trailer for Wicked: Forever has been released, and it features Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo reprising their roles as Glinda and Elphaba. However, this time around, the two witches find themselves on opposite sides of the struggle for Oz.

The Plot Thickens

In the trailer, Glinda is seen warning Elphaba that "they come for you," to which Elphaba responds, "You are the only friend I’ve ever had." This emotional exchange hints at the deep bond between the two characters, despite their differences. The trailer also showcases Elphaba’s wedding to Prince Fiyero, played by Jonathan Bailey, as well as the presence of flying monkeys and other eerie creatures marching along the yellow brick road.

Returning Characters and New Songs

Michelle Yeoh and Jeff Goldblum reprise their roles as Madame Morrible and the magician, respectively, and can be seen in the trailer plotting against Elphaba. The title song "For Good" is also featured prominently throughout the trailer, adding to the emotional depth of the story.

Release Date and Previous Success

Wicked: Forever is set to hit cinemas on November 27th, a year after the first film’s successful theater run. The original film earned over $750 million at the global box office and received several Oscar nominations, including Best Picture, ultimately winning awards for production design and costume design. With its talented cast and engaging storyline, Wicked: Forever is sure to captivate audiences and leave a lasting impression.
