Expansion of Primary Wave Music

Primary Wave Music, a leading independent music publishing company, is expanding its brand department with the addition of two new executives. Camille Hackney, a former Top Atlantic Records Exec, has been appointed as the head of brand partnerships in the company’s New York office. Bart Saunt has joined as a senior VP based in Los Angeles. This expansion is a significant move for the company, which has been growing its legendary catalogs, including those of Bob Marley, Prince, Stevie Nicks, and many more.

New Appointments

Hackney brings a wealth of experience to Primary Wave Music, having worked with several labels under the Warner Music Group, including Eastwest Records, Elektra Entertainment Group, and Atlantic Records. She has built and executed large partnership programs with Fortune 500 brands, such as American Express, Pepsi, and Google. Her work has also included developing programs with major sports leagues like the NBA, NFL, and NCAA. Saunt, on the other hand, has over 25 years of experience in brand partnerships, having worked with legendary and contemporary artists, and building innovative campaigns for brands like Sonos, Bulova, and Microsoft.

Promotions and Growth

In addition to the new appointments, Sam Skollover has been promoted to VP of the Brand Division in New York. Skollover has been with Primary Wave Music for over six years and has secured partnerships with Prince for Airbnb and Boyz II Men for Chilli’s, among others. His versatile music knowledge has contributed significantly to the growth of the brand department. The company’s CEO, Strautz, praised Skollover’s growth and maturity, saying it was an easy decision to promote him.

Company’s Vision

The expansion of the brand department is a strategic move by Primary Wave Music to grow its business and increase its presence in the industry. With the addition of Hackney and Saunt, the company is well-positioned to build on its existing success and secure new partnerships. The company’s CEO, Strautz, expressed his excitement about the new appointments, saying, "I am thrilled that our team is ripening and growing at the same time." He also praised Hackney’s competitive spirit and strong reputation in the branded space, saying he is excited to work closely with her in the coming years.

Team’s Strength

The new appointments and promotions are a testament to the strength and growth of Primary Wave Music’s team. The company’s ability to attract top talent and promote from within is a sign of its success and commitment to its employees. With its expanded brand department, Primary Wave Music is poised to continue its growth and success in the music industry. The company’s focus on building strong partnerships and securing new deals will undoubtedly lead to exciting opportunities for its artists and catalogs.
