Lady Gaga’s New Song and Music Video

Lady Gaga has officially dropped her new song "The Dead Dance" together with a music video staged by Tim Burton. The single was released on music streamers on Wednesday morning, in addition to its premiere in Episode 7 of season two of the Netflix show Wednesday, led by Jenna Ortega.

Background of the Song

The song itself was written by Gaga, Andrew Watt, and Henry Walter, and produced by Gaga, Watt, and Cirkut, who have worked closely with her on her previous album, Chaos. "The Dead Dance" appears in season 2, episode 7, "Woe Me The Money", during an extended dance sequence with Enid (Emma Myers) and Agnes (Evie Templeton).

Music Video

The music video, which is mostly in black and white, begins with Gaga posted on a wall next to dozens of creepy dolls. The singer appears with a dance that is reminiscent of the image of a body. As she sings, "Like the words of a song, I hear that you call like a thief in my head, you criminal," the video showcases her unique style and talent.

Lady Gaga’s Role in Wednesday

In addition to her song, Lady Gaga guest-starred in part two of the new season. She plays the spirit of Rosaline Rotwood, a raven and former teacher at the Nevermore Academy. In episode six, entitled "Woe Thyself", Wednesday (Ortega) is determined to get in touch with Rotwood, while she is looking for ways to regain her psychic skills. However, the help of Rotwood comes with a price that leads to Wednesday and Enid (Emma Myers) facing a difficult challenge.

Lady Gaga’s Latest Projects

Lady Gaga’s new music comes months after she released her seventh studio album, Chaos, in March. With her latest song and music video, as well as her guest role in Wednesday, Lady Gaga continues to showcase her talent and creativity in the music and entertainment industries.
