Film Festival Buzz

International buyers are flocking to Francesco Sossai’s debut film, The Last One for the Street, after its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival. The movie is set to make its North American premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) and will also be shown at the New York Film Festival and Busan.

Distribution Deals

Lucky Number, a sales outfit based in Paris, has sold the road trip comedy-drama to Bulldog Film Distribution in the UK and Ireland. Lucky Red will release the film in Italy on September 25th. The film will screen for press and industry at TIFF on September 4th, ahead of its North American premiere on September 11th.

Production and Cast

The Last One for the Street is produced by Italy’s Vivo Film with Rai Cinema and co-produced by Germany’s Labyrinth Films. The movie features a talented cast, including Filippo Scotti, Sergio Romano, and Pierpaolo Capovilla.

Positive Reception

The founders of Lucky Number, Ola Byyszuk, Olivier Barbier, and Lenny Porte, expressed their excitement about the positive response to the film, saying: "It’s fantastic to see the positive reaction to The Last One for the Street from critics, festival programmers, and distributors who have fallen in love with its lovable characters, unusual tone, and unique place in the landscape of Italian cinema."
