Introduction to Sabrina Carpenter’s New Album

Sabrina Carpenter is back with her seventh studio album, "Man’s Best Friend", which has arrived along with the music video for "Tears". The singer is in rare form over the dozen tracks of the album. In the course of three albums, Carpenter and co-writer Amy Allen have almost become a comedy duo with their trendy texts.

Highlights from the Album

Many of the texts sound dirtier than they actually are, but like Carpenter said to Gayle King about the album on "CBS Mornings", it is "not for pearl-clutchers". Some highlights from the album include:

Man

A lot of clever puns on the album lead to putting down a guy who is about as sharp as a round ball. The lyrics ask, "Why so sexy when so stupid? And how to survive the earth for so long? If I’m not there, it won’t be done. I decide to blame your mother."

Tears

Perhaps the most evil song on the plate, "Tears" hardly surprises with its metaphor. The lyrics say, "I get wet with the thought of you. Be a responsible guy. Treat me as you should do it. Tears run down my thighs."

My Husband at Willpower

The topic here is a man who "fell in love with self-control and now gets out of control" and Sabrina suffers from the consequences. The lyrics state, "My husband won’t touch me with a 20-foot pole. My husband’s forgotten devotion has forgotten his devotion. Where he is gone, God only knows."

Sugar Speaks

Sabrina wants to go straight to the point with the conversation. The lyrics say, "Set your lovingly where your mouth is. Yes, your heels mean shit for me. Get your sad ass to mine."

We Almost Broke Up Last Night

It is a familiar feeling for everyone who is in a toxic relationship: it is "what it is and it is predictable". The lyrics say, "And when I got to the plug. I swear, it starts to train."

Nobody

How acidic is Sabrina about a separation? So angry that she blames his parents for his actions. Brutally. The lyrics state, "This boy is corrupt. Could you raise him to love me? He fucked me safely. And yes, I’m talking about your baby."

Never Be Placed

After a separation, there are no bad feelings for carpenters, only a few salty ones. When she "is never put", she made peace with a man at the end of a relationship, but she hopes that he will be banished on the Isle of Incels. The lyrics say, "I just hope that one day you get agoraphobia. And all of their days are sunny. From your window pane. Wish you full of happiness for a lifetime. And one forever, never to be laid."

More Tracks from the Album

Other tracks from the album include:

When Did You Get Hot?

The references to the gods are in abundance "When did you get hot", the ultimate lighting anthem. The lyrics say, "Sorry, I haven’t seen the vision. Thank you to the Lord, the fine you have climbed."

Go Juice

Ah yes, the drunken dial. Sabrina throws one back on a Tuesday at 10 a.m. to deal with a broken heart on "Go Go Juice", which only leads to the ringing of a few exes. The lyrics state, "I just drink to call someone. Nobody is sure when I’m a little drunk."

Don’t Worry, I’ll Worry You

"You think I’ll fuck with your head? Well, you are absolutely right" Warns Sabrina" don’t worry, I’m worried to you. The lyrics say, "Silent treatment and humble your ass. Well, that’s some of my best work."

House Tour

You have to take your word for it when she says that there is no metaphor here. The lyrics say, "Do you want the house tour? I could bring you to the first, second, third floor. And I promise none of it is a metaphor. I just want you to get in. Baby, what mine is now yours."

Conclusion

You cannot break Sabrina’s heart and then have a change in the heart, at least according to your rules. This ABBA-intended album leaves you in a state of the extreme. The lyrics say, "I wish I had a gun or words if something was lost in communication" – Nevertheless, she manages to filter it through a comedic lens. The album ends with a last kiss for a good measure: "Say, light arrives, goodbye. Forgive my Frenchman, but fuck yourself, ta ta."
