Introduction to the VMAs

The VMAs have announced more performers for the upcoming award ceremony. Doja Cat, Jelly Roll, Post Malone, Tate McRae, and Conan Gray are among the newly added performers. They will join the existing lineup, which includes Sabrina Carpenter, Sombr, Alex Warren, and J Balvin with DJ Snake.

New Performers and Their History with the VMAs

This year’s show will mark Gray and McRae’s debut on the VMAs main stage. McRae has four nominations, including best pop artist and song of the year for "sports cars". Post Malone, who has won six VMAs in his career, will perform at the award ceremony for the first time since 2018. He is also nominated for best collaboration for "Pour Me A Drink" with Blake Shelton.

Exciting Performances to Expect

Doja Cat, who has won five VMAs in her career, will give her first television performance of her latest single "jealousy". This will be her first performance on the show since 2023. Jelly Roll is fighting for his first VMA prize and has four nominations on the show. With these talented artists taking the stage, the VMAs are expected to be an exciting event.

Details of the Upcoming VMA Ceremony

This year’s VMA will be broadcast on September 7 at 8 p.m. EST in the UBS Arena in New York. The show will be broadcast on CBS for the first time and also simulcast on MTV. LL Cool J will host the awards, marking his first time hosting the show solo after co-hosting with Nicki Minaj and Jack Harlow in 2022.

Leading Nominees of the Year

Lady Gaga leads the nominations with 12, including video of the year, artist of the year, and album of the year. Bruno Mars is close behind with 11 nominations, while Kendrick Lamar has 10. With such talented artists competing for the top prizes, the VMAs are sure to be a memorable event.
