Introduction to Margot Robbie and Colin Farrell

Margot Robbie has had the opportunity to work with various actors throughout her career, transforming from a femme fatale to a romantic leading actress. Recently, she had the chance to collaborate with Colin Farrell, a 3-time Oscar nominee.

The Initial Plan for Birds of Prey

Initially, the villain in Birds of Prey (2020) was supposed to be Oswald Cobblepot, also known as the Penguin. However, the director of The Batman, Matt Reeves, asked the writers not to use the Penguin as he planned to feature the character in his own project. As a result, the villain was changed to Black Mask, played by Ewan McGregor.

Margot Robbie’s Future in the DC Universe

Margot Robbie last appeared as Harley Quinn in James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad (2021). The head of DC Studios recently stated that Robbie’s future in the DC Universe is "unlocked" and open to various possibilities.

The New DCU and The Batman Part II

James Gunn’s latest film, Superhuman, marked the beginning of the new DCU, known as the "Gods and Monsters" phase. This phase is separate from Matt Reeves’ Batman epic crime saga, which includes The Batman (2022) and the HBO Max series spin-off, The Penguin. The production of The Batman Part II is set to begin in the spring, with the script already completed by Matt Reeves and co-author Mattson Tomlin. The film is scheduled to premiere on October 1, 2027, after being delayed by a year.

The DC Universe Expansion

The DC Universe is expanding, with new projects and phases being introduced. The "Gods and Monsters" phase promises to bring new and exciting storylines, while Matt Reeves’ Batman saga continues to unfold. With Margot Robbie’s future in the DC Universe "unlocked," fans can expect to see her in new and exciting roles, potentially alongside Colin Farrell and other talented actors.
