Introduction to US Microchip Manufacturers

Two large US microchip manufacturers have agreed to pay the Trump administration part of the sales to send export licenses for chips to China. The world’s most valuable company, Nvidia, and Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) will give the US government 15% of Chinese sales of two AI-driven microprocessors.

Background on the Agreement

This agreement is unprecedented in the financial period. The companies were issued licenses to export the semiconductors to the second-largest economy in the world after a change in the Trump government in June. Semiconductors can be found in almost all electronic technologies and are crucial for the modern world.

Previous Export Ban

Previously, the export of H20 and Mi308 produced by Nvidia or AMD were banned under US security reasons. However, successful lobbying by the managing director of Nvidia, Jensen Huang, meant that Trump allowed the resumed turnover in China. It was instructed by the administration as better for America than better than China instead of developing itself.

Development of the H20 Chip

The Nvidia H20 chip was developed with the export of the bids of the bid administration against Advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) -MI chips. In April, President Trump’s government said that it would ban the export of the H20.

Company Response

The companies were contacted for a comment. Nvidia told other news agencies: "We follow rules that the US government defines for our participation in global markets." "Although we have not sent H20 to China for months, we hope that the export control rules will have America compete in China and worldwide. America cannot repeat 5G and lose telecommunications."
