Introduction to Kristoff St. John’s Documentary

Fall Giant Films, the production company of actor and filmmaker Randy J. Goodwin, has announced a new documentary project that explores the life and legacy of the famous soap opera actor Kristoff St. John. The documentary, directed by Bobby Razak, will follow St. John’s journey from his early days as a child actor to his groundbreaking role as Neil Winters on the Young and the Restless.

The Documentary: A Raw and Intimate Portrait

The documentary, titled Kristoff, will offer a raw and intimate portrait of the man behind the screen. It will delve into his struggles with mental health, personal loss, and the impact he had on the television and black entertainment community. St. John’s role as Neil Winters was one of the most permanent black characters on television, and his legacy continues to inspire and influence new generations of actors.

Kristoff St. John’s Achievements

St. John received numerous awards and nominations for his role on the Young and the Restless, including two Daytime Emmys and 10 NAACP Image Awards. He also received two Daytime Emmy nominations for his role in the NBC soap Generations and is known for his leading role in the ABC miniseries Roots: The Next Generations.

A Personal Project for Randy J. Goodwin

The documentary is a personal project for Goodwin, who was not only a close friend of St. John’s but also his roommate. Goodwin said, "Kristoff was more than just an incredibly talented actor. He was one of my closest friends, my brother. This documentary is both a warm tribute and a truthful exploration of the amazing person he was." Goodwin is working with director Bobby Razak to bring this project to life.

Partners and Release

The ex-wife of Kristoff, Mia St. John, a five-time boxing champion and mother of two of his three children, is also an important partner in the project. The documentary is set to be released early next year. In addition to the documentary, a biopic about St. John’s life is currently in development.

The Director’s Background

Bobby Razak has directed several films, including Mask, Fall Soldier, and Mexican Fighter. His experience in documenting the lives of notable figures will bring a unique perspective to the documentary.

Randy J. Goodwin’s Credits

Goodwin’s credits include producing Look Like Someone: The Ricky C. Simmons Story, The Job, The Call, and The Holy Man. As an actor, his recent credits include appearances on Star Trek: Picard, All American: Homecoming, Dynasty, and NCIS. He is represented by the Global Artists Agency and Rugolo Entertainment.
