Investment Growth in Dubai Industrial City

Dubai Industrial City has attracted more than 1.7 billion Dirhams in essential economic sectors such as food and drinks, heavy devices, energy solutions, automotive, and light industries in the past 12 months.

Role in Supporting UAE’s Industrial Strategy

The investments attracted by Dubai Industrial City underline the decisive role of the district in supporting the industrial strategy of the United Arab Emirates and consolidate its position as a leading goal for foreign direct investments from manufacturers who strive for global and regional growth from Dubai.

Commitment to Promoting Local Excellence

"The acceleration of advanced industries is important to unlock long-term economic growth, and Dubai Industrial City is committed to promoting such local excellence in the United Arab Emirates," said Saud Abu Alshawareb, Executive Vice President-Industrial at Tecom Group. "The investments attracted last year speak for manufacturers and investors from all over the world and their contribution to Dubai’s position as the world’s leading hub for foreign direct investments."

Growth in Various Sectors

The past year had significant growth for basic metals, machines, minerals, food and beverages, transport, and chemical industry in six committed zones in Dubai Industrial City. The investments drawn last year build on the call of Dubai Industrial City as a preferred destination for manufacturers with specialized infrastructure such as industrial, warehouse, and logistics areas.

New Investors and Developments

Among the new customers who joined Dubai Industrial City last year is the Elite Group Holding, a diversified conglomerate of the UAE that develops a 1 million square meter development worth 100 million Dirhams to promote growth in the automotive and e-commerce sector. Pure Ice Cream, manufacturer of brands such as Baskin-Robbins ICE Creams and Kwality Ice Creams, also develops a production facility that represents an investment of 80 million Dirhams in Dubai Industrial City, while Ozon Pharmaceuticals should set up a production hub worth more than 293 million Dirhams and 150,700 square feet in the district.

Importance of Dubai Industrial City

Dubai Industrial City houses more than 1,100 local, regional, and global manufacturers as well as over 350 operational factories, serves as an important connection in the global supply chain, and offers connectivity to regional and international markets. The district is located near the port of Jebel Ali, the International Airport Al Maktoum International Airport, a railway goods terminal from Etihad, and the most important street networks, and offers access to a huge consumer market from Dubai, an eight-hour flight from two-thirds of the world.

Strategic Location and Infrastructure

Dubai Industrial City is part of the portfolio of TECOM Group business district, which includes several other business districts. The district’s strategic location and infrastructure make it an attractive destination for investors and manufacturers looking to establish a presence in the region.
