Introduction to Masha Popova’s Fall/Winter 2026 Collection

Masha Popova showcased her Fall/Winter 2026 collection at London Fashion Week, presenting a provocative show that explored the bedroom as a psychological space. The collection, titled “Intimate Hours,” featured backless silhouettes, ultra-low rises, and cropped hot pants, all under the stately blankets of Charterhouse.

Exploring the Collection’s Themes

The collection delved into the idea of the bedroom as a place where desire, boredom, and memories accumulate. This introspection played out in garments that felt both private and performative, with lingerie accents, sleepwear details, and distressed jeans that clashed with the historic splendor of the venue. Popova’s use of colors, cuts, and textures added to the collection’s complexity, creating a smorgasbord of styles that reflected her background in architecture and her ability to transform rigid fabrics into flowing forms.

Key Looks and Pieces

One of the standout looks featured a sheer, flowy green-and-blue printed set, consisting of a halter top and ruffled micro shorts worn over sheer black tights. Hot pants were a recurring motif, often styled to make the models’ hair appear deliberately unruly. Denim, Popova’s signature style, was pushed into the tailored realm, with looks featuring halter-style denim tops and low-slung jeans fastened with crisscross leather belts. Leaf motifs were embedded into the denim surface, referencing the designer’s constant experimentation with treated fabrics.

Architectural Details and Grungy Sensuality

The collection combined architectural details with a grungy sensuality, reflecting Popova’s background in architecture. A corset-like denim top with off-the-shoulder sleeves and visible red topstitching was worn with dramatically flared jeans that fell to the floor. References to sleepwear were sometimes literal, with a floor-length, fluffy, and slinky pink dressing gown styled more for the runway than the bedroom. The dress featured an open back that revealed the model’s underwear, adding to the collection’s themes of privacy and visibility.

Popova’s Brand and Style

Popova’s brand is built as a melting pot of late 20th-century haute couture and the rawness of the 1990s and 2000s. Her work consistently combines elegance and irreverence, as seen on celebrities such as Dua Lipa, Billie Eilish, and Bella Hadid. The collection at Charterhouse felt particularly strong, with the grandeur of the setting underscoring the collection’s themes of privacy and visibility. Bottoms were revealed under structured dresses, sheer tights under cropped silhouettes, and denim was made into evening wear, creating a borderline state between self-awareness and defiant display.
